This card would be a valuable addition to a blue control deck that focuses on creature manipulation and tempo plays. While Cytoplast Manipulator offers a unique ability to gain control of creatures with +1/+1 counters, it may be overshadowed by cards like Simic Manipulator which have a lower mana cost and a similar effect. However, Cytoplast Manipulator could still see play in specific strategies that revolve around +1/+1 counters and creature theft mechanics.

The control change lasts as long as Cytoplast Manipulator is on the battlefield. It doesn’t end if the creature loses all its +1/+1 counters, it stops being a creature, or if Cytoplast Manipulator becomes untapped.
