Agadeem Occultist, Creature — human shaman ally, designed by Vance Kovacs first released in Feb, 2010 in the set Worldwake.
Agadeem Occultist would be a valuable addition to a black-based Ally tribal deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it provides graveyard recursion and potential creature theft. It synergizes well with other Ally cards that can increase the number of Allies you control, allowing you to potentially steal powerful creatures from your opponent's graveyard. However, there are better options for graveyard recursion and creature theft in black, such as Animate Dead or Reanimate, which have more immediate and consistent effects, making Agadeem Occultist a situational choice that may not see widespread play in competitive decks.

You may target any creature card in an opponent’s graveyard with Agadeem Occultist’s ability. You check whether the targeted card’s converted mana cost is less than or equal to the number of Allies you control when the ability resolves. If you control too few Allies at that point, the ability does nothing.
