About Volrath

Volrath, Vanguard, designed by Anson Maddocks first released in May, 1997 in the set Vanguard Series.

Volrath can be a valuable addition to a graveyard-focused deck that aims to recur creatures frequently for additional value. However, there are more efficient options like Eternal Witness or Regrowth that provide immediate access to the creature rather than putting it on top of the library. While Volrath's ability can be useful in certain situations, its high mana cost and slower effect may make it less competitive in faster-paced or more optimized decks.
