While it may not be a top-tier competitive card, it can definitely be a fun and effective choice for casual or themed decks. Other cards like Goblin Rabblemaster or Legion Warboss may offer similar token generation benefits with more consistent impact, but Varchild's unique ability to control opponents' Survivors upon leaving the battlefield adds an interesting twist to gameplay.
