This card could be beneficial in a control or attrition-based deck that aims to slowly chip away at opponents' resources and life totals. However, the high cost of makes it less efficient compared to other cards that offer similar effects for a lower cost, such as Smallpox or Pox. While Tomb of Annihilation has a flavorful and unique design, its high mana cost and the requirement to go through multiple steps to reach the payoff of creating The Atropal may make it less competitive in most decks, unless in a specific themed deck where the synergy with sacrificing and discarding is heavily utilized.
