About Thoughtrender Lamia

Thoughtrender Lamia, Enchantment creature — lamia, designed by Magali Villeneuve first released in May, 2020 in the set Journey into Nyx.

This card would be a great fit for a black-based enchantment deck that focuses on disrupting your opponent's hand size and resources. While Thoughtrender Lamia's effect is powerful in the right deck, there are other cards like Liliana's Caress or Waste Not that offer similar discard effects with potentially greater impact. Whether or not Thoughtrender Lamia should see play would depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck it's being considered for, but it could definitely be a valuable addition in the right context.

Rules

04/26/14

A constellation ability triggers whenever an enchantment enters the battlefield under your control for any reason. Enchantments with other card types, such as enchantment creatures, will also cause constellation abilities to trigger.

04/26/14

When an enchantment enters the battlefield under your control, each constellation ability of permanents you control will trigger. You can put these abilities on the stack in any order. The last ability you put on the stack will be the first one that resolves.
