This card, Sunspring Expedition, would be beneficial in a white-based control or midrange deck that focuses on gaining life and stalling the game. While it provides a consistent source of life gain, there are better options available such as \[\[Serra Ascendant\]\] or \[\[Lone Missionary\]\] that offer immediate life gain without the need to invest in quest counters. Sunspring Expedition may see play in casual or budget decks, but in competitive settings, it may not be the most efficient choice due to its slower payoff compared to other life gain options.

The landfall ability triggers whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control for any reason. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability (such as Rampant Growth) causes you to put a land onto the battlefield under your control. It will even trigger when a spell or ability causes another player to put a land onto the battlefield under your control (as can happen with Yavimaya Dryad’s ability, for example).
