A deck that focuses on casting a high number of noncreature spells would benefit from including Soulblade Djinn, as it provides a powerful buff to your creatures each time you cast a spell. However, in competitive Magic: The Gathering environments, there are often more efficient cards that offer similar effects, such as Stormwing Entity or Sprite Dragon, which may be better choices depending on the specific strategy of the deck. Soulblade Djinn could see play in more casual or themed decks where its unique ability can shine.

Any spell you cast that doesn’t have the type creature will cause Soulblade Djinn’s ability to trigger. If a spell has multiple types, and one of those types is creature (such as an artifact creature), casting it won’t cause the ability to trigger. Playing a land also won’t cause it to trigger.
