About Savage Smash

Savage Smash, Sorcery, designed by Zoltan Boros first released in Jan, 2019 in the set Ravnica Allegiance and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This card, Savage Smash, is best suited for a deck that focuses on aggressive creature strategies, such as Gruul Aggro or Gruul Midrange in Magic: The Gathering. While it can provide a temporary boost and removal in one card, there are potentially better options like Domri's Ambush or Collision // Colossus that offer similar effects with added flexibility or efficiency. However, Savage Smash can still be a solid inclusion in decks looking for a versatile combat trick that can help swing the board in their favor.

Rules

01/25/19

If the creature you control is an illegal target as Savage Smash tries to resolve, it won’t get +2/+2. If that creature is a legal target but the other creature isn’t, the creature you control still gets +2/+2.

01/25/19

You can’t cast Savage Smash unless you choose both a creature you control and a creature you don’t control as targets.
