About Recross the Paths

Recross the Paths, Sorcery, designed by Greg Hildebrandt first released in Feb, 2008 in the set Morningtide and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This card would be beneficial in a deck that focuses on ramping up mana quickly and taking advantage of land cards for additional resources. Decks that rely on big mana spells or landfall triggers would benefit from the potential to put lands directly onto the battlefield. While Recross the Paths offers a unique and potentially powerful effect, there are other cards like Cultivate or Kodama's Reach that provide more consistent and reliable ramp without the element of chance involved in clashing. However, in a deck specifically built around manipulating the top of the library or taking advantage of the clash mechanic, Recross the Paths could certainly see play as a fun and unpredictable addition.

Rules

04/01/08

If you win the clash, the spell moves from the stack to your hand as part of its resolution. It never hits the graveyard. If you don’t win the clash, the spell is put into the graveyard from the stack as normal.

04/01/08

You put the revealed nonland cards on the bottom of your library before you clash.
