A deck focused on aggressive strategies and creature combat would benefit from including Ravenous Slime, as it can quickly grow in power by exiling opponent's creatures and gaining +1/+1 counters, making it a formidable threat that is difficult to block. While Ravenous Slime is a solid card for its cost, some may argue that cards like Scavenging Ooze offer similar benefits with additional graveyard interaction, potentially making it a better choice depending on the deck's strategy and needs. Ultimately, Ravenous Slime could see play in decks looking to apply pressure and grow a powerful threat on the battlefield.

If more than one replacement effect tries to change where a dying creature ends up, that creature’s controller chooses which effect applies. For example, if two players control a Ravenous Slime, a creature controlled by a third player will be exiled by the Ravenous Slime of that third player’s choice, and the other Ravenous Slime won’t get +1/+1 counters.

Once a creature with power 3 or greater has blocked this creature, changing the power of the blocking creature won’t cause this creature to become unblocked.
