A red control deck focused on board control and incremental damage could benefit from including Pyrohemia as a way to clear the board of small creatures and apply pressure to the opponent. However, for a more efficient option, cards like Anger of the Gods or Sweltering Suns could provide similar effects with less risk of self-sacrifice and at a lower mana cost, making them potentially better choices depending on the specific strategy of the deck. Pyrohemia could see play in certain niche decks that can take advantage of its unique abilities, but it may not be a staple in most competitive decks.

It will stay on the battlefield if there is a creature that is put into the graveyard during the end step. This is because this ability will not trigger at all if there is at least one creature on the battlefield as the end step begins.

Note that “until end of turn” effects wear off after “at the beginning of the end step” triggered abilities, so an artifact that animates until end of turn can keep this on the battlefield.
