About Predatory Focus

Predatory Focus, Sorcery, designed by Zoltan Boros & Gabor Szikszai first released in Feb, 2006 in the set Guildpact.

This card, Predatory Focus, would benefit decks that focus on creature combat strategies, particularly those with large, powerful creatures that can deal significant damage if unblocked. While it can be a powerful card in the right deck, there are other options like Overwhelming Stampede that provide a similar effect on a larger scale, making them potentially better choices for certain strategies. Whether or not Predatory Focus should see play ultimately depends on the specific deck and playstyle, but it can certainly be a strong inclusion in the right circumstances.

Rules

04/01/08

When Predatory Focus resolves, you choose whether to use its effect or not. If you choose to use it, all your creatures will deal their combat damage to the planeswalker or defending player this turn whether or not they become blocked. You can’t have any of them deal combat damage to creatures that block them. If you choose not to use its effect, nothing happens.

04/01/06

Will even apply to creatures that entered the battlefield after it resolved (which obviously must have Haste in order to attack).
