About Order of Whiteclay

Order of Whiteclay, Creature — kithkin cleric, designed by Steven Belledin first released in May, 2008 in the set Shadowmoor and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

A deck focused on low-cost creatures and graveyard recursion, such as a White Weenie or a Cleric tribal deck, would benefit from including Order of Whiteclay. While there may be more efficient options for graveyard recursion in certain decks, Order of Whiteclay's ability to repeatedly bring back small creatures can provide valuable card advantage and board presence. Its inclusion would depend on the specific strategy and synergy of the deck, but it could definitely see play in the right build.

Rules

05/01/08

If the permanent is already untapped, you can’t activate its ability. That’s because you can’t pay the “Untap this permanent” cost.

05/01/08

When you activate an ability, you untap the creature with that ability as a cost. The untap can’t be responded to. (The actual ability can be responded to, of course.)
