About Nevermore

Nevermore, Enchantment, designed by Jason A. Engle first released in Sep, 2011 in the set Innistrad.

This card, Nevermore, is particularly useful in control decks that aim to shut down key cards or combos from the opponent. While it can be effective in certain matchups, there are better options like Meddling Mage or Sorcerous Spyglass that offer more flexibility or additional effects. Whether Nevermore should see play depends on the specific metagame and the strategy of the deck, but it can be a strong sideboard option in the right circumstances.

Rules

09/22/11

Although the named card can’t be cast, it can still be put onto the battlefield by a spell or ability (if it’s a permanent card).

09/22/11

If you want to name a double-faced card, remember to name the front face of that card. (The back face can’t be cast anyway.)

09/22/11

No one can cast spells or activate abilities between the time a card is named and the time that Nevermore’s ability starts to work.

09/22/11

The named card can be cast again once Nevermore leaves the battlefield.
