About Lay Waste

Lay Waste, Sorcery, designed by Terese Nielsen first released in May, 2020 in the set Urza's Saga and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

A deck that focuses on resource denial or land destruction strategies would benefit from including Lay Waste, as it can disrupt your opponent's mana base and slow down their game plan. While Lay Waste is a decent option for land destruction, there are more efficient and versatile cards like Stone Rain or Molten Rain that can provide similar effects at a lower cost or with additional benefits. Ultimately, the decision to include Lay Waste in a deck would depend on the specific strategy and synergy within the deck, but it may not be a top choice compared to other land destruction options available in Magic: The Gathering.
