This card would benefit a deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures for value and has a variety of creatures with different mana values. Decks that can consistently generate creatures to sacrifice will get the most value out of Crucible Goliath's ability to cheat out nonlegendary creatures from the library. While there may be better cards with similar effects in certain strategies, Crucible Goliath could see play in decks that can take advantage of its unique ability to cheat creatures into play.
