A deck focused on tribal Merfolk creatures in Magic: the Gathering would greatly benefit from including Jade Guardian, as it provides protection with hexproof and boosts the power of other Merfolk with its +1/+1 counter ability. While there may be other cards that offer similar effects, Jade Guardian's combination of hexproof and a beneficial enter-the-battlefield ability makes it a strong choice for Merfolk decks and definitely worth considering for play.
