About Honor the God-Pharaoh

Honor the God-Pharaoh, Sorcery, designed by David Palumbo first released in Apr, 2019 in the set War of the Spark and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This card would benefit a red aggressive deck that focuses on quickly building up a board presence and drawing additional cards to maintain momentum. While Honor the God-Pharaoh provides card advantage and a potential threat with the Amass ability, there are more efficient options available such as Light Up the Stage or Experimental Frenzy that can provide similar benefits without the additional cost of discarding a card. Overall, Honor the God-Pharaoh may not see much play in competitive decks due to its drawbacks compared to other options available.

Rules

05/03/19

If you don’t control an Army, the Zombie Army token that you create enters the battlefield as a 0/0 creature. Any abilities that trigger when a creature with a certain power enters the battlefield, such as that of Mentor of the Meek, will see the token enter as a 0/0 creature before it gets +1/+1 counters.

05/03/19

You must discard exactly one card to cast Honor the God-Pharaoh; you can’t cast it without discarding a card, and you can’t discard additional cards.
