Gloomshrieker would be a great addition to a Golgari graveyard recursion deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing value by returning a permanent card from the graveyard to the hand upon entering the battlefield and being able to avoid the graveyard with its exile ability. While it offers decent utility, there are potentially better options like Eternal Witness which can return any card from the graveyard to hand and has a more versatile casting cost, making it a more popular choice in competitive play. However, Gloomshrieker could still see play in more casual or thematic decks looking to capitalize on its unique abilities.
