About Farrel's Zealot

Farrel's Zealot, Creature — human, designed by Edward P. Beard, Jr. first released in Nov, 1994 in the set Fallen Empires and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.

Farrel's Zealot could be beneficial in a white aggressive deck looking to control the board by removing key opposing creatures. However, its effectiveness may be limited by the fact that it assigns no combat damage when its ability is activated. A potentially better alternative could be cards like Boros Reckoner or Boros Charm, which offer more versatile and impactful abilities in aggressive strategies. Ultimately, whether Farrel's Zealot should see play would depend on the specific deck strategy and meta considerations.

Rules

10/01/08

If there are no other creatures on the battlefield, Farrel’s Zealot will have to target itself. Of course, you can choose not to use the ability when it resolves.

10/04/04

In a multiplayer game, the target creature does not need to be one of the ones controlled by the player you actually attacked.
