About Etherium-Horn Sorcerer

Etherium-Horn Sorcerer, Artifact creature — minotaur wizard, designed by Franz Vohwinkel first released in May, 2020 in the set Planechase 2012 and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.

This card would be beneficial in a deck focused on spellcasting and card advantage, particularly in a deck that aims to cast multiple spells in a turn to trigger its Cascade ability multiple times. While Etherium-Horn Sorcerer offers a unique ability to return to hand and potentially cascade into more spells, some players may prefer more consistent options like Shardless Agent or Bloodbraid Elf for Cascade strategies, depending on the specific deck archetype and playstyle. Overall, Etherium-Horn Sorcerer could see play in decks looking for versatile spell recursion and Cascade synergies.

Rules

03/19/21

Cascade triggers when you cast the spell, meaning that it resolves before that spell. If you end up casting the exiled card, it will go on the stack above the spell with cascade.

03/19/21

If a spell with cascade is countered, the cascade ability will still resolve normally.

03/19/21

If the last card exiled is a card with an Adventure, you may only cast the spell as an Adventure if that spell has a lesser mana cost than the spell with cascade.

03/19/21

If you cast a card “without paying its mana cost,” you can’t choose to cast it for any alternative costs. You can, however, pay additional costs. If the card has any mandatory additional costs, you must pay those to cast the card.

03/19/21

The converted mana cost of a split card is determined by the combined mana cost of its two halves. If cascade allows you to cast a split card, you may cast either half but not both halves.

06/01/12

Etherium-Horn Sorcerer’s first ability can only be activated when it is on the battlefield. If Etherium-Horn Sorcerer isn’t on the battlefield when the ability resolves, the ability won’t do anything.
