About Burn at the Stake

Burn at the Stake, Sorcery, designed by Zoltan Boros first released in May, 2012 in the set Avacyn Restored.

A deck that focuses on generating a large number of creature tokens would benefit from including Burn at the Stake, as it can deal a significant amount of damage to a target. However, there are better alternatives like Goblin Grenade or Lightning Bolt that provide more efficient and immediate damage output in most situations, making Burn at the Stake less likely to see play in competitive Magic: the Gathering decks.
