Burgeoning, Enchantment, designed by Randy Gallegos first released in Mar, 1998 in the set Stronghold and was printed exactly in 7 different ways. It see play in 3 formats: Brawl, Commander and Duel Commander.
This card, Burgeoning, would be a great addition to a landfall deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it allows you to ramp up your land count quickly and take advantage of landfall triggers. However, a more powerful alternative could be Exploration, which lets you play an additional land each turn. While Burgeoning may not be a top-tier card, it could still see play in casual or budget decks looking to capitalize on land-based strategies.

Playing a land will trigger it, but putting a land onto the battlefield as part of an effect will not.
