Rakdos Carnarium, Land, designed by John Avon first released in May, 2006 in the set Dissension and was printed exactly in 24 different ways. It see play in 2 formats: Pauper and Commander.
A deck that benefits from Rakdos Carnarium is one that focuses on mana ramp and color fixing, particularly in a Black-Red color combination like Rakdos. While the land entering tapped and the requirement to return a land to hand can slow down tempo, the ability to produce both Black and Red mana can be valuable in decks that require both colors. However, there are better options available such as Blood Crypt, which enters untapped and can produce both Black and Red mana without the drawback of bouncing a land. Overall, Rakdos Carnarium may see play in budget decks or casual settings, but in competitive environments, there are more efficient options to consider.
