This Lightning Javelin card would be beneficial in a red aggressive deck looking to finish off opponents quickly with direct damage while also gaining some card selection through scrying. While Lightning Javelin is a decent card, there are better options like Lightning Bolt or Skewer the Critics, which offer more efficient damage for the mana cost and are more commonly played in competitive decks, making Lightning Javelin less likely to see play in highly optimized decks.
