About Slice and Dice

Slice and Dice, Sorcery, designed by Mark Brill first released in Jun, 2002 in the set Magic Online Promos and was printed exactly in 8 different ways.

This card, Slice and Dice, would be beneficial in a red control or midrange deck looking to clear the board of small creatures. It can serve as a board wipe or a cycling option for card advantage, offering flexibility in different game situations. While there may be more efficient board wipe options available, such as Anger of the Gods or Sweltering Suns, Slice and Dice could still see play in certain metas where its cycling ability and damage output are particularly valuable.

Rules

10/01/08

Cycling is an activated ability. Effects that interact with activated abilities (such as Stifle or Rings of Brighthearth) will interact with cycling. Effects that interact with spells (such as Remove Soul or Faerie Tauntings) will not.

10/01/08

The cycling ability and the triggered ability are separate. If the triggered ability doesn’t resolve (due to being countered with Stifle, for example, or if all its targets have become illegal), the cycling ability will still resolve and you’ll draw a card.
