This card, Portent of Betrayal, would be beneficial in a red aggressive deck looking to steal an opponent's creature to swing for lethal damage or to disrupt their board state. While it has its uses, there are potentially better cards like Act of Treason or Threaten that offer similar effects at a lower mana cost, making them more efficient options for decks focused on creature theft. However, Portent of Betrayal could still see play in decks that specifically benefit from the Scry 1 ability, providing some additional card selection alongside the temporary creature control effect.
