Primetime has grossed US$ 52.8 million at the worldwide box office, more than three times its estimated US$ 15 million production budget. The film starring Robert Pattinson has taken in US$ 46.7 million in the United States and US$ 6 million internationally.

The story follows a figure connected to a program that, according to the film's description, transformed American television.
