About Unstable Shapeshifter

Unstable Shapeshifter, Creature — shapeshifter, designed by Terese Nielsen first released in Oct, 1997 in the set Tempest.

A deck focused on creature-heavy strategies, such as a tribal deck or a deck with powerful enter-the-battlefield effects, would benefit from including Unstable Shapeshifter. However, a more competitive option might be the card Clever Impersonator, which allows you to choose what you copy and doesn't come with the drawback of losing its ability. While Unstable Shapeshifter can be fun and flavorful, its unpredictability may not make it a top choice for competitive play.

Rules

08/01/08

The ability is granted as part of the copy effect, which means it will be removed by any effects that would remove abilities regardless of when the effect was created.

10/04/04

If the creature has power/toughness that is continuously recalculated, so does this copy of it.

10/04/04

The copy effect is not targeted.
