Tymaret, Chosen from Death would be a strong addition to a black devotion deck in Magic: the Gathering, as it can potentially have a high toughness based on the devotion to black and provides graveyard interaction and lifegain. However, there are arguably better cards for similar effects, such as Scavenging Ooze or Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, which offer more impactful graveyard hate and lifegain abilities. Tymaret could see play in more casual or thematic decks, but may not be a top choice for competitive play.
