Thrashing Mossdog, Creature — plant dog, designed by Ryan Barger first released in May, 2013 in the set Dragon's Maze and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
Thrashing Mossdog could be a valuable addition to a Golgari midrange deck in Magic: the Gathering, providing a solid blocker with reach and a potential late-game power boost through its Scavenge ability. However, there are more efficient options available, such as Lotleth Troll or Varolz, the Scar-Striped, which offer more impactful abilities and synergies for the deck. While Thrashing Mossdog may not be a top-tier choice, it could still see play in casual or budget decks looking for a versatile creature with graveyard recursion potential.

Exiling the creature card with scavenge is part of the cost of activating the scavenge ability. Once the ability is activated and the cost is paid, it’s too late to stop the ability from being activated by trying to remove the creature card from the graveyard.
