This card, Soul Rend, would benefit a black control deck looking to deal with white creatures efficiently while also gaining card advantage. While it's a decent removal spell, there are better options like Fatal Push or Murderous Rider that offer more versatility and efficiency. However, in a meta heavy with white creatures, Soul Rend could see play as a sideboard option for specific matchups.
