Soltari Priest, Creature — soltari cleric, designed by Janet Aulisio first released in Oct, 1997 in the set Tempest and was printed exactly in 10 different ways.
This Soltari Priest card would be beneficial in a white-based control deck that aims to protect itself from red spells and creatures while utilizing its shadow ability to block or be blocked by specific creatures. However, in a competitive setting, there may be better options such as Mother of Runes or Giver of Runes that offer similar protection abilities with added versatility, making them more favorable choices for deck construction. Soltari Priest could still see play in more casual or thematic decks for its unique abilities and flavor.

Multiple instances of shadow on the same creature are redundant.

Once a creature has been blocked, that creature remains blocked and will deal and be dealt combat damage even if it gains or loses shadow or if the blocking creature gains or loses shadow.
