Shard Phoenix, Creature — phoenix, designed by Paolo Parente first released in Mar, 1998 in the set Stronghold and was printed exactly in 9 different ways.
This card would be beneficial in a red aggressive deck looking to control the board by dealing damage to creatures without flying while also providing a recurring threat with its ability to return from the graveyard. However, there are better options such as Rekindling Phoenix which offers a more resilient threat with its ability to return as a 0/1 elemental creature token if it dies. Overall, Shard Phoenix could see play in specific strategies focused on board control and recurring threats, but there are stronger alternatives available in the current metagame.
