Savage Punch, Sorcery, designed by Wesley Burt first released in Sep, 2014 in the set Khans of Tarkir and was printed exactly in 4 different ways.
A deck that focuses on aggressive creature strategies, particularly those with high power creatures, would benefit from including Savage Punch. However, there are better options available such as Dromoka's Command, which offers more versatility and flexibility in its effects. Savage Punch could still see play in decks looking for additional removal options or ways to enhance their combat abilities, but it may not be a top choice in competitive environments.

Assuming the ferocious ability applies, if just the creature you control is an illegal target when Savage Punch tries to resolve, it won’t get +2/+2 until end of turn. If the creature you control is a legal target but the creature you don’t control isn’t, the creature you control will get +2/+2 until end of turn.

Ferocious abilities of instants and sorceries that don’t use the word “instead” will provide an additional effect if you control a creature with power 4 or greater as they resolve.
