About Necromantic Selection

Necromantic Selection, Sorcery, designed by Dave Kendall first released in Nov, 2014 in the set Commander 2014 and was printed exactly in 6 different ways.

A deck focused on graveyard recursion and reanimation would greatly benefit from including Necromantic Selection. This card provides a powerful board wipe effect while also allowing you to bring back a creature from the graveyard, essentially giving you a strong advantage over your opponents. While there may be other reanimation spells like Reanimate or Living Death that are more efficient in terms of mana cost, Necromantic Selection's ability to clear the board and bring back a creature can be a game-changing play, making it a viable option for certain strategies in a Commander or casual Magic: the Gathering deck.

Rules

11/07/14

Necromantic Selection doesn’t overwrite any of the creature’s colors or types. Rather, it adds another color and another creature type.
