About Monstrous Growth

Monstrous Growth, Sorcery, designed by Dan Frazier first released in May, 1997 in the set Portal and was printed exactly in 10 different ways.

A deck that focuses on aggressive strategies and creature combat would benefit from including Monstrous Growth, as it can provide a significant power boost to a key creature for a low cost. However, there are better options available such as Giant Growth, which provides the same power boost for a single green mana, making it more efficient. Monstrous Growth could see play in decks that require redundancy in their effects or are looking for additional ways to pump up their creatures, but it may not be the optimal choice in all situations.
