A deck that focuses on aggressive red strategies, such as burn or aggro decks, would benefit from using Molten Vortex as it provides a repeatable source of damage that can target creatures or players. However, there are better cards like [[Seismic Assault]] that offer a similar effect with the added flexibility of targeting any target without the need to discard a land card. While Molten Vortex can be a decent inclusion in certain decks, it may not see as much play compared to more efficient alternatives.
