This Merfolk Secretkeeper // Venture Deeper card could be beneficial in a mill deck strategy, where the goal is to force the opponent to draw cards from their library until they run out and lose the game by being unable to draw. While this card provides a small mill effect, there are more efficient mill cards available in Magic: the Gathering, such as Hedron Crab or Glimpse the Unthinkable, which can mill more cards at once or have additional effects. Therefore, unless the deck specifically needs the Merfolk type or the ability to cast the creature from exile, there are better options available that could potentially be more impactful in a mill deck.
