About Living Terrain

Living Terrain, Enchantment — aura, designed by Andrew Goldhawk first released in Jun, 2000 in the set Prophecy and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

This Living Terrain card would be beneficial in a green-based deck that focuses on creature synergies and land-based strategies, as it effectively turns a land into a powerful creature. While it can be a fun and flavorful addition to a casual deck, in more competitive settings, there are likely better options available that provide more consistent value or versatility, such as Nissa, Who Shakes the World, which can generate powerful land-based tokens and ramp mana more effectively.

Rules

08/01/08

A noncreature permanent that turns into a creature can attack, and its abilities can be activated, only if its controller has continuously controlled that permanent since the beginning of their most recent turn. It doesn’t matter how long the permanent has been a creature.

10/04/04

It does give the land a color and creature type, which is unlike most other ways to animate a land.
