About Legerdemain

Legerdemain, Sorcery, designed by Daren Bader first released in Oct, 1997 in the set Tempest and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.

This card, Legerdemain, would be beneficial in a deck focused on controlling the battlefield by swapping key artifacts or creatures with opposing permanents to disrupt the opponent's strategy. While it offers a unique and potentially powerful effect, there are more efficient options available such as Control Magic or Treachery, which provide similar effects at a lower cost. Legerdemain could see play in more casual or themed decks, but in competitive settings, other cards may be more optimal choices.

Rules

04/01/08

You can’t cast Legerdemain unless both targets share a type at that time. It will also check to make sure they share a type as it resolves. If they no longer do so, the exchange will not occur.
