About Kami of the Tended Garden

Kami of the Tended Garden, Creature — spirit, designed by Thomas M. Baxa first released in Jun, 2005 in the set Saviors of Kamigawa.

Kami of the Tended Garden fits well in a Spirit tribal deck or a green-based midrange deck that can leverage its Soulshift ability to recur other Spirits, making it particularly effective in formats where creature recursion is valuable. While it provides a steady source of card advantage if you can keep paying the {G} cost, there are arguably more powerful options, such as Eternal Witness, which can return any card from your graveyard to your hand, or Risen Reef, which offers card draw and ramp in Elemental decks. Ultimately, whether Kami of the Tended Garden should see play depends on your deck's synergy and the meta; if you can consistently pay the upkeep and utilize its Soulshift effectively, it can be a solid choice, but it may not be the most competitive option available.
