About Impending Doom

Impending Doom, Enchantment — aura, designed by Zoltan Boros first released in May, 2020 in the set Theros Beyond Death and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.

This card, Impending Doom, would be beneficial in an aggressive red deck that aims to quickly deal damage to the opponent. It can be particularly effective in a deck focused on aggressive creature strategies, as the +3/+3 boost can help to quickly close out the game. However, there are potentially better options such as Madcap Skills or Rancor that provide similar benefits without the drawback of forcing the enchanted creature to attack each turn. Overall, Impending Doom could see play in specific aggressive decks, but may not be the optimal choice compared to other available options.

Rules

01/24/20

If the enchanted creature can’t attack for any reason (such as being tapped or having come under that player’s control that turn), then it doesn’t attack. If there’s a cost associated with having it attack, the player isn’t forced to pay that cost, so it doesn’t have to attack in that case either.
