This Hedge Troll card would be beneficial in a green-white aggro deck that aims to control Plains to boost its power and toughness while having the ability to regenerate it for survivability. However, there are potentially better options like Fleecemane Lion or Watchwolf that offer more consistent value and impact in the current Magic: the Gathering metagame, making Hedge Troll less likely to see competitive play.
