This card would benefit a Gusto archetype deck that focuses on swarming the field with low-level monsters and utilizing Synchro summoning. While Gusto Egul can provide field presence and facilitate Synchro plays, there are better options like Gusto Gulldo which can Special Summon itself from the graveyard when destroyed by battle, offering more immediate advantage. However, Gusto Egul could still see play in a Gusto deck as an additional tool for deck thinning and facilitating combos.
