Gild, Sorcery, designed by Richard Wright first released in May, 2020 in the set Born of the Gods and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
This card, Gild, would be beneficial in a control deck that focuses on removing key threats from the opponent's board while generating additional resources. However, there are more efficient removal spells like Murder or Hero's Downfall that are more versatile and don't require a specific mana color, making them better choices in most situations. Gild could see play in a deck that specifically needs the artifact token generation, but overall, it may not be a top choice in competitive play due to its mana cost and limitations compared to other removal options.
