Fortifying Draught, Instant, designed by Andrey Kuzinskiy first released in Apr, 2021 in the set Strixhaven: School of Mages and was printed exactly in 2 different ways.
A deck focused on gaining large amounts of life quickly, such as a green-white lifegain deck with cards like Soul Warden and Felidar Sovereign, would benefit most from using Fortifying Draught. However, better alternatives like Feed the Clan or even larger finishers like Ajani, Strength of the Pride might be more impactful options for lifegain strategies in Magic: the Gathering, making Fortifying Draught a niche choice that may not see much play in competitive decks.

Fortifying Draught counts the total amount of life gained without considering any life you lost during that turn. For example, if you lost 2 life and gained 3 life earlier in the turn, you will gain 2 more life from Fortifying Draught and the target creature will get +5/+5.
