Fists of Flame, Instant, designed by Steve Argyle first released in May, 2019 in the set Modern Horizons and was printed exactly in 6 different ways. It see play in 1 formats: Commander.
A deck that focuses on drawing a high volume of cards quickly, such as a red/blue spellslinger deck or a red/green ramp deck, would benefit most from including Fists of Flame. While there may be more powerful cards available for similar effects, such as Temur Battle Rage or Assault Strobe, Fists of Flame could still see play in decks looking to maximize card draw synergies and aggressive strategies.

If a spell or ability causes you to put cards into your hand without specifically using the word “draw,” Fists of Flame’s effect doesn’t count them.

If the target creature is an illegal target by the time Fists of Flame tries to resolve, the spell doesn’t resolve. You won’t draw a card.
