Eliminate the Competition, Sorcery, designed by Joseph Meehan first released in Sep, 2016 in the set Kaladesh Promos and was printed exactly in 3 different ways.
A deck that focuses on sacrificing creatures for value, such as a Black sacrifice deck or a Zombie tribal deck, would benefit from using Eliminate the Competition. However, there are better cards like Damnation or Toxic Deluge that offer more efficient board wipes without the need for sacrificing creatures. While Eliminate the Competition can be situationally useful, it may not see much play in competitive decks due to its higher mana cost and additional sacrifice requirement compared to other options.

Once you announce that you’re casting Eliminate the Competition, players can’t try to remove creatures you’d like to sacrifice.
